Prison health worker jailed over £1m drug smuggling plot

A prison mental health worker and 16 co-conspirators have been found guilty of smuggling more than £1m of drugs, knives and mobile phones into HMP Lindholme in South Yorkshire.

Amy Hatfield, 38, was arrested in 2019 on her way into the prison where a police search uncovered she was in possession of cannabis, MDMA and Ribena bottles filled with spice.

Hatfield was sentenced to a total of ten years and two months in prison.
