A local church decided to take action during this time of crisis, and help families in need.

Pastor eddie smith, says he believes the partnership is the best thing the church could do to help.

"well, this virus has caused a lot of problems worldwide, especially in our country and in our community, and we thought that a partnership would be a good way to help alleviate some of the problem.

" the congregation helped pack food boxes, and distribute meals.

Hundreds of people lined the parking lot, including doug davis.

Davis says he's disabled, which makes it more challenging for him to get to a grocery store.

He says he's thankful to receive food from the church.

"it's good that we're able to come and get food from the food bank because coronavirus is c1 3 b13 kinda serious around here."
