The "covid 19 relief grant program for micro-enterprise businesses" will give 5000 dollars to about 140 small brick and mortar businesses.

In order to qualify a business must have 5 or fewer employees-- includingthe owner.

Must operate within redding... shasta lake... or anderson.

Must have been hurt by covid-19... and not have received a "p-p-p" loan of other sba disaster funding.

One business told me this will really help.

It will help us with the overhead expenses of electricity & rent and that sort of things anf it will help us with some advertising cost that we need to get the word out there since the beginning of the pandemic we've found what businesses need the most is cash the "department of housing and urband development" is supplying the money for the grants.

Close to 700- thousand dollars will go to redding.

62-thousand dollars will go towards the city of shasta lake.

And we're working to find out how much will go to anderson.

Businesses apply for the grant through the end of the month.
