Jaffer Sadiq, allegedly the linchpin of a ₹2,000-crore drug ring, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in Delhi.
His syndicate trafficked 3,500kg of pseudoephedrine disguised as food cargo to Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia.
Sadiq, a Chennai-based film producer and former DMK member, purportedly invested proceeds in real estate and movie production.
