According to superintendent mike hickman, the reason is so students can use the remainder of the three weeks of the school year for make up work and to turn in checked out chromebooks.

"make sure in the final 3 weeks that we get all the information from our kids, make sure their progress is where we think it is so we can make a decision about next year."

Hickman says 30 days of online learning is enough for students because of the amount of work students do.
